From combat veterans with specialized training in canine care to seasoned animal handlers with a deep understanding of equine behavior, our team is committed to providing the highest standard of care for all our furry and feathered residents.
Moran Henn
Founder, Dog Trainer

I am a professional certified dog trainer specializing in high-anxiety and other behavioral issues dogs. I have 25+ years of dog training, behavioral modification, and animal care experience. Animals are not my hobby; they are my profession! I am a dog behavioral consultant for a number of dog rescue organizations, I run a horse Therapy Program (Horses Heroes and Hope), am a board member for Sacred Peaks Equine Rescue, and a co-founder and trainer for Therapy Pets of Northern AZ. I was a service dog trainer in the Israeli Military (IDF), worked full time as a vet tech, and was a kennel manager, stable assistant, and a caretaker at numerous animal hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.

With over 18 years of animal care experience, I bring a diverse background to my work. As a combat veteran, I collaborated closely with dog handlers and their teams during my service. My experience extends to working alongside veterinary surgeons, managing veterinary hospital administration, and overseeing in-home boarding facilities. From rodents and reptiles to equines, canines, and feline friends, I have provided care for a wide array of animals. Additionally, I serve as a transport driver for numerous dog rescues, facilitating the safe transportation of dogs and cats. Whether across town, or cross county, I ensure your furry friend gets to their destination safely.
Ophek Henn

I specialize in working with high-drive, purpose-bred dogs—especially personal protection dogs. As a decoy, I understand the unique needs, temperament, and training required for working breeds. I also have extensive experience with high-anxiety dogs, providing calm, confident handling to help them feel safe, I bring years of experience with horses and farm animals, rooted in my background as a barrel racer and lifelong animal handler. When I’m not working, I enjoy training my Belgian Malinois in nose work just for fun. Having completed equine first aid clinics, I have the knowledge and skills to provide medical attention when needed. My expertise also includes care for goats, cats, chickens and various other animals. I take pride in being reliable, detail-oriented, and respectful of every animal’s unique needs.
Matar Henn

I am a competitive barrel racer, track and field athlete, seasoned dog owner, and experienced animal caretaker. I’ve dedicated countless hours to riding, feeding, and nurturing horses, and I’ve completed equine first aid clinics to ensure I can provide medical attention when needed. My experience extends to the care of dogs, goats, cats, chickens, and various other animals.
At Horses, Heroes, and Hope, I proudly serve as a horse handler, using my knowledge to support the well-being of both clients and horses. I’m no stranger to long days—from 5 a.m. feedings to late-night wellness checks, I put in the work because I care.
My involvement in track and field has reinforced the values of responsibility, discipline, and dedication—qualities I bring to every aspect of animal care.

We run our own mini farm and dog rescue. So, we don't get surprised by what is actually takes to clean stalls, feed 20 horses, or walk dogs.
We are a team. That means that you don't get a cancellation call if we are sick or if we had an emergency. We back each other up.
We have taken courses, certifications, and even received awards in competitions, training, first-aid, and animal behavior.
